Megan is a Métis educator from Edmonton/amiskwaciywâskahikan. She previously worked as a secondary English teacher, where she was committed to disrupting dominant narratives and celebrating and affirming her students' identities in her classroom. She is currently working as a Program Support Coordinator for the Aboriginal Teacher Education Program (ATEP) at the University of Alberta.
Megan uses social media as a tool to share information and connect with teachers across Turtle Island. Her work as a local artist is widely shared across multimedia platforms. She is also a member of the Nîsohkamâkewin Council; an Indigenous-led advisory council focused on systemic change in Edmonton's Police Service.
